 About Us
Stillwater Medical Group has a rich history that dates back to 1902. It is really a tale of two practices, the St. Croix Valley Clinic and the Stillwater Clinic. In August 1995, the two groups merged to form what is now Stillwater Medical Group. SMG expanded its services into Somerset, Wisconsin in 2000.
On April 1, 2005, Stillwater Medical Group integrated with Lakeview Hospital to form Lakeview Health System. "The newly integrated organization will allow us to grow with the expanding needs of the community through recruiting new physicians and procuring the latest technology," said Charles Hipp, MD, Stillwater Medical Group.
As the needs of the community grew, so did the need for more space. So, on June 26, 2006, SMG responded by welcoming patients to their newly expanded campus on Curve Crest Boulevard in Stillwater. The expansion increased their space by 90,000 square feet with 110 more exam and procedure rooms.
In October 2006 the former Greeley Street Clinic became the Women's Center providing OB/GYN and women's health services. The Main Campus on Curve Crest Boulevard also houses our Specialty Clinic.
