Workers Compensation
WorkWell Occupational Health Services is available to assess and treat work-related illnesses and injuries. Injuries occurring during the hours that WorkWell is not open can be assessed and treated at Stillwater Medical Group. Persons with injuries or conditions that constitute a medical emergency (for example, chest pain, severe trauma, etc.) should be sent directly to Lakeview Hospital's Emergency Room.
Case management is built upon clear and direct communication between the company, the physician, the injured worker, and the worker's compensation insurer and includes:
- An immediate return-to-work status report generated at the time of the worker's visit to the clinic
- Timely notification to the company in the event an individual cannot return to work
- A complete dictated report sent with the bill to the insurer within a reasonable time after the visit
- Workplace site visits by Dr. Charles Hipp, WorkWell Medical Director, to understand the work setting
By directing your employees to WorkWell Occupational Health Services for medical care, workers will experience quality medical services, and you will receive timely communication to understand the worker's injury, potential work limitations, and pertinent instructions for appropriate follow-up care. A medical authorization form, complete with a map to the clinic, is available for your use to authorize the employee's visit to the clinic and to aid the employee while traveling to the clinic.
Fees are based on the service provided, according to the appropriate State Workers Compensation fee schedule. Billing is typically sent directly to your workers compensation insurance carrier. If the injury is determined to not be work related, the employer is responsible for charges for the initial authorized visit.
